Plastic pellets and regrind created from recycled plastic are one of the simplest and most cost-effective solutions to minimize your carbon footprint. California Plastics recycles a lot of plastic, but not all of it can be reused by the original producer in a closed loop system. We separate recyclable plastics by resin and quality once they arrive. After that, we shred or ground them (hence the term regrind). This regrind can be utilized as-is in some cases, and it is normally very cost-effective, but it is not necessarily pure enough for direct product manufacture. Densifying, aspiration, density separation, and even computer color separation are all options for further processing. They are washed to remove contaminants such as paper. This purified regrind is then melted and extruded into uniform pellets, which are the recycled plastic pellets that many manufacturers today employ to make their products. These final recycled plastic pellets are frequently high-quality, eco-friendly products that are less expensive than virgin plastics.
